Rex in at the deep end here after nearly 7 hours in the car... We decide to tackle Blencathra via Halls Fell Ridge. It is hazy, chilly and breezy, but dry.

1) Buses from Keswick / Penrith to Threlkeld
2) Car parking in Threlkeld village (with due care) and some dedicated car parks [eg NY 31851 25603]
