After yesterday's extravaganza, just a half walk with a swimming option for Indy in Angle Tarn.
We start from Hartsop, the path is a road to begin with
We follow this path as it goes behind the crags on the right, to meet up at Boredale Hause
Suddenly we hear jets screaming in from the South
It's difficult to catch them - there were four in all
I read somewhere that they take off from Cambridge
Looking in the direction of Helvellyn and Catstye Cam
The Southern edge of Ullswater is in view
We are now arriving at Boredale Hause and start our climb to Angletarn Pikes
Looking behind at the clear path to Place Fell
Our approach to Angletarn Pikes
At the summit
A short walk to 'Angletarn Pikes South Top'
We get our first good view of Angle Tarn
Indy races towards the water
And enjoys her swim,
despite the breezy chilly weather
We stop here for a break - it is peaceful and quiet at just past 10am
Looking back to Angle Tarn
In front of us to the right is Brock Crags, a short detour
At this junction we catch sight of Hayeswater
The summit of Brock Crags is quickly reached
And we must backtrack a little to rejoin the path
Hayeswater and the return path we took when we hiked to High Street
A difficult obstacle for Indy near the bottom. I had to lift her over...
Nearly back at the start here, a pleasant stroll through bracken
Taken from the road later, our morning path up to Boredale Hause
