Paw INDY SAYS: I liked the heather on Outerside but getting off Causey Pike in this direction was a little tricky for me. Nice splash around in the water at Stoneycroft

We climb Causey Pike via Stile End and Outerside and are met with a fantastic rainbow in the changing light. A tricky descent of Causey summit towards Stoneycroft

Start point, map and route information at bottom of page

It has been raining lightly this morning, but forecast to clear up by around 2pm.
We set off at lunchtime on a circuit from Braithwaite to take in Outerside and plan to arrive at Causey Pike in good weather.
Little did we know that we'd be treated to a marvellous long-lasting rainbow.
