We have been fortunate to share our lives with some fantastic labradors.

Labrador Retrievers have been our faithful companions for many years, filling our lives with endless energy, loyalty, and joy. Whether bounding through fields or curling up by the fire after a long day, these incredible dogs have an extraordinary ability to make every moment better. Our adventures have taken us across the stunning landscapes of the Lake District, UK, where we've discovered just how well Labs thrive in the great outdoors - even well into their senior years!

There's something truly special about exploring the fells with a Labrador. Their natural enthusiasm, strong build, and love of water and exercise make them ideal hiking companions. From tackling rocky paths like Cat Bells to splashing in tarns and becks, Labs can show remarkable stamina and spirit. These experiences have proven time and again that age is just a number - our 10-year-old Indy tackled her first proper fell walk with the energy of a puppy, reminding us why Labradors remain one of the most popular and versatile breeds in the world.

Taking Indy out onto the fells in 2024 was a revelation. We started (of course) with Cat Bells, walking in from Portinscale.
She had never been on the fells before and Cat Bells, although not a high fell, is rocky.
